Following are the recommendation for the effective service delivery -
I.Patient care services
- Paying & Non-paying system
- Patients are schedule with an appointment by the reception staff for out-patient evaluation. While the initial work up is done by an Optometrist, final evaluation & treatment recommendations are given by the Ophthalmologist.
- At least 50 per cent of the patients should be provided all the services free of cost to economically privileged section of the population.
- The other 50 percent of the patients should be provided the services depending upon their paying capacity with a three tier package system as following:
- Low income group - Economy package
- Middle income group - Semi-private package
- High income group - Delux package
- Timings
- The Outpatient and Inpatient services should be available six days a week by rotating all the three full time doctors.
The timings for the eye centre should be as following:
- Operation theatre should start 8.30 am to till the last patient
- Out patient should start 8.30 AM - 5.30 PM
- Examination of the patient
All the new patients should have complete eye examination like History taking, Refraction, Slitlamp examination, Applanation tonometry, Gonioscopy & fundus examination.
