Patient counseling services

All the patient are couselled by the trained patient consolers for their treatment recommendation accordingly as following:

1. All the patients who are advised for medical treatment and glass prescriptions etc are couselled by out patient cousellors.
2. The rest the patient who are advised surgery are couselled by Inpatient counsellor
3. The economic staus of the patients are all assessed by the patient cousellors
4. The Check in, Check outs and cash transaction of the paying should all carried out by these cousellors.

In-patient Services

1. All the patients for the major surgical procedure should be admitted for a maximum period of 48 hrs and the rest for minor procedure they can be admitted one hour before the surgery and discharged immediately after the surgery. For cataract surgeries ambulatory procedures should be encouraged.
2. The nursing care should be provided round the clock for the patient.

Operation Theatre

1. The Operation theatre should function six days a week, all asepsis should be maintained with high standards.
2. Patients are scheduled with an appointment for surgical procedures. While out-patient surgery in actively encouraged, those who opt for surgery as in-patients are admitted one day prior and discharged on the first post-operative day after surgical dressing removal.
3. Surgeries are performed in absolute sterile Operating rooms with State-of-the-art equipment like operating microscope, steam, sterilisers. The concept of one patient operated at a time in the Operating room, is adopted with sterile drapes, high quality instruments, sutures, viscoelastic fluids and other intra-operative supplies.
4. All cataract surgeries are performed with an intraocular lens implantation.

Medical Records

All the clinical work-up done by the clinical team of the eye centre should be documented in the medical record in prescribed formats. Trained person will maintain these records and he/she will generate required reports for the eye centre.
